John was admitted to the Bar of the State of Illinois on November 10, 2021. Since that time, he has handled cases in several different practice areas, including family law, personal injury, criminal defense (including a variety of traffic, DUI, misdemeanor, and felony matters), orders of protection, guardianships, drafting wills and powers of attorney, and more.

While John continues to serve clients in a variety of legal areas, he also devotes much of his practice to helping injured workers proceed with workers’ compensation claims. John has obtained settlements for many clients, has taken numerous workers’ compensation cases to trial, and has also argued workers’ compensation matters before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and Circuit Court. He has seen firsthand the devastating impact work injuries can have on individuals and their families, and he prides himself on

communication and helping his clients through every stage of the workers’ compensation system to a final resolution of their case.

John resides in Charleston with his wife, Kendel, and his labradoodle, Gus. He is on the board of the Mattoon Kiwanis Club and is also a member of the Coles-Cumberland Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
